Do I need operating authority or an MC number?

Yes - DeadHeader is for licensed, FMCSA-authorized carriers. When you sign up we pull your authority, insurance, and safety record straight from FMCSA so your profile is real from day one.

What does it cost?

Your first 30 days are free - the full platform, no card to begin. After that it is $49/mo founder pricing, locked for life for founding carriers, with the rate rising after launch. There is no per-trip fee.

How do I get paid?

You and the broker settle payment directly between yourselves. DeadHeader is the marketplace, the workflow, and the paperwork - no money moves through the platform.

Can I vet the brokers I work with?

Yes. You can look up any broker by name, MC, or DOT and see their operating authority and surety bond, watch them for changes, and keep a private note - the same vetting tools brokers use on carriers.
